Gepetto | OSC
Out-of-school care Gepetto in Berkhout has room for 20 children in a basic group for children aged 4 to 12 years old.
OSC Gepetto, located in the rural and quiet village of Berkhout, has its own area on the terrain of primary school Geert Holle. Co-operating with education is very important to us. Stichting Kinderopvang Koggenland (SKIK) also provides lunchtime care at the Geert Holleschool and is therefore in close contact with the teachers. The group is guided by a permanent team of three to four child care workers.
The children will be picked up from school by one of our staff members. Gepetto is opened every day of the week until 18:30 PM. During the holidays and on additional days off the children are welcome at OSC Gepetto as well from 7:00 AM to 18:30 PM. During the quietest days we combine the playgroup and OSC group in a family group (0-12 years old).
If you want to know more about this location or are interested in the possibilities for your child, then please contact us.
There are different activities planned every afternoon, such as staging a performance, playing parlor games, drawing, painting or other creative activities. The children have their own coat rack hangers and their own little containers to store their handiworks. On top of that, we have a regular daily schedule with familiar faces leading the group. This is how we offer structure, regularity and safety.
Every couple of weeks, the children choose a specific theme. Based on this, we play games, read aloud and make handiworks. At Gepetto we have different play corners that will be arranged depending on the chosen theme. There is space to play together or independently. This is possible in the play corners or in our play room. A moment to relax is possible on the couch in our chill-out corner.
We are able to make use of the playground of the primary schools for our outdoor activities. A street football court (‘pannaveld’) has been arranged for the children. We like to play hide-and-seek in the playground and there is the possibility to play tennis or skip ropes. There is a wide choice of playing equipment: a table football game, a climbing frame, swings and horizontal bars. We offer parents to bring their child to the sports club and to pick it up again.
